art show

I have been working toward graduating from college lately. One of the requirements as an art major is to have an art show. So the title of my show is "A typical art show" because it uses typography in all the pieces--an element that is not so typical in a fine art show. But I like graphic design and especially type, so I wanted to heighten that concept. I did my show using various methods of printmaking (block prints, monoprints, collagraphs) and I even made my own frames. I'm glad to be done with it and think it turned out well. I am a little surprised, too, by the number of pieces I have sold as well. I went in not really expecting to sell anything, but I'm glad to.

a little setback

I really was a fan of this print I had pretty far along, but then I realized that I had it wrong. Based on the miracle of Jesus feeding the five thousand...he did it with five loaves and two fish, not vice versa. I reluctantly started over. It will still look good. Just a little behind.

school makes me bananas

I am very much missing this right now. School is crazy. America is so fast paced, and it does not help being a college student.
I love to learn, but I do not love staying up so late all the time.
I have more pictures, but am unsure when I will get them posted.

printmaking shop

I'll be spending lots of time in the printmaking shop, which is definitely fine by me. I just finished a linocut a few days ago. I love it!
